Second generation Acura RL
I saw one in the oncoming lane this morning and was suddenly struck by just how great looking this car was.

They do look good. With the 3.5 V6 and SH-AWD they should be pretty good to drive as well.

Car & Driver said with snow tires it was excellent in winter weather.

My ex-coworker had one and slapped some skinny Winterforces on it, said it was a tank in the snow. Other than needing some very expensive catalytic maniverters and a new aluminum fender after a run in with a mailbox, it was pretty reliable.

C&D also said they may as well have lived at the Acura dealer with all the little issues they had. Of course that was a press car, so abuse is probably higher.

Unreliability is cool these days.

I have many many wants for a RL, a shame every one I find is due for a timing belt service

Maybe if it wasn’t two tons.
I think they’re very nice looking and underappreciated, but there’s a reason they sold pretty poorly.

What is with the recent coming out of the beaks? This thing looks like every other nondescript 4 door mid-size beige sedan. They’re heavy, FWD, semi-executive cars. I thought this was oppositelock?

It’s no Mazdaspeed 6.

I bet the steering is a bit heavy like my Accord...

Every time I see that badge, my mind reads it as “SHAAWTYY!” - like how T-Pain sings it lol
